Whiskey surely isn’t a typical German product whereas video security is. However: The "Birkenhof Distillery" in the Westerwald region is quickly becoming one of the top distilleries in Germany. Started in 1848 with a traditional grain distillery, in 1999 an award-winning fruit distillery was added and in 2002 with Fading Hill a whiskey distillery as well.

To ensure that everything runs smoothly and none of the product evaporates into thin air, this operation selected a Geutebruck video solution. It visualises the various areas of the distillery, essentially from production to sales area. High-resolution Geutebruck 5-MP cameras and integrated third-party cameras supply image data to the central reporter recorder.

If the bandwidth is low, the stream parameter settings automatically adjust to ensure smooth video playback. Even dome or P/T cameras can easily be put into position using touchscreen remote control – simple and intuitive, using the same operating concept familiar to iPhone/iPad users.
