Blake will build Gallagher's PIV solution business for the United States Federal Government

International leaders in integrated access control and perimeter security technology, Gallagher, recently welcomed Blake Smith the Technical Account Manager (TAM) for the US Federal market.

Blake will work with the North American Federal Business Development Manager, Brandy Sloan, and senior leadership team to build Gallagher's PIV solution business for the United States Federal Government.

Blake's training and experience in access control started in 1995 with the US NAVY, where he specialised in system installation, maintenance, and administration of installed access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems. In 1998, he left the US NAVY to work for the US Department of State (DoS) in the same disciplines; maintaining and installing access and controlled security for US diplomatic missions worldwide.

His most recent position was with government services contractor, AMERICAN SYSTEMS where, as an Operations Manager, he oversaw day-to-day operations including; directorate financials, project management and design personnel, and deployment of security installation techniques both domestically and internationally.

"Blake's skills and experience are valuable to us and we're really pleased that he made the decision to join Gallagher's growing US footprint", said Michael Collins, Vice President of Gallagher Sales.

"The addition of such an experienced individual demonstrates the company's ability to attract the most qualified personnel within perimeter security and access control; a measure of Gallagher's growing international success within this market and its reputation for producing innovative, flexible and effective products".

"My goal is to grow the Gallagher product within the US market at both a commercial and Federal level", said Blake.

"Gallagher has been successfully implementing total site security systems in the US for more than 10 years. I want to increase Gallagher's product recognition even further and help establish the PIV solution in the federal market."
