Forum to be held on 3rd - 4th March will focus on issues posing security threats for oil industry in Central Asia

The 2nd Central Asia and Caspian Oil & Gas Security Forum will take place next week, on 3rd -4th March at the Ritz Carlton Almaty, with the well renowned international software security group, Kaspersky Lab joining the Forum’s high profile list of sponsors, as a gold sponsor.

As the Forum organised by IRN for the second year is an important regional meeting, focusing on issues posing security threats for the oil industry in Central Asia such as oil theft, cyber-attacks, pipeline security, and the growing threat of terrorism, labour and community relations amongst others, many key regional players act as its supporters. G4S Kazakhstan is a gold sponsor of the meeting while the pipeline security company Atmos International and the subsidiary of the Israeli Aerospace Industry Elta Systems are also elite sponsors.

Representatives from the national companies KazMunayGas and KazTransOil, China National Petroleum Company, Shell, Chevron, TengizChevroil, Maersk Oil, Caspi Murerty Operating Company (CMOC), Control Risks and North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) are amongst the speaker faculty.

Security Managers from Bashneft, ExxonMobil Russia, BakerHughes, Shell Kazakhstan, Statoil Kazakhstan, Avencom, Caspian Pipeline Consortium, Selex, Betafence and WorleyParsons will be amongst the senior level delegation of the Summit.
