Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has awarded Gallagher Security a major contract to supply access control systems to secure 280 of its locations in India. Gallagher, together with local partner Ibex Gallagher and AGC Networks, overcame significant competition to win this important order.

The equipment supplied will include Gallagher 6000 controllers, T10 Mifare readers, biometric readers, Visitor Management and an interface with the JD Edwards ERP system. As well as managing access control and security functions, the Gallagher 6000 controller can physically enforce business rules, be aware of its environment, communicate with other systems nearby and make enriched access decisions based on variables from these systems. Systems integration will be handled by AGC Networks Limited, an Essar Enterprise company. Maha Pvt Ltd Infotech provided security consultancy for the project.
