The three members are from ABL, a leading provider of security services in the Czech Republic
Three members of ASIS International, the pre-eminent organisation for security management professionals worldwide, have been appointed to the new government of the Czech Republic on 13 July. The President of Czech Republic, Václav Klaus, selected a new centre-right coalition government following the parliamentary elections held in May 2010.

Godfried Hendriks, CPP, Senior Regional Vice President for Europe of ASIS International commented: "The appointment of no less than three of our colleagues to such influential positions is illustrative of the global reach and the quality of the ASIS membership worldwide."

Mr. Vít Bárta, a former Board member of the Czech Chapter of ASIS International, has been appointed Minister of Transport for the Veci Verejné political party. Mr. Bárta was General Director of ABL, a leading provider of security services in the Czech Republic.

Dr. Miroslav Zahalka, current Chairman of the Board of the Czech Chapter of ASIS International, was appointed Deputy Minister for Information Technology. He also represents the Veci Verejné political party. Dr. Zahalka was Information Director at ABL.

Mr. Michal Moroz, Secretary and Past Chairman of the Board of the Czech Chapter of ASIS International, was appointed Deputy Minister of the Interior representing the TOP09 political party. He will be responsible for strategy and management. Mr. Moroz was Managing Partner of Moroz & Partner and an adviser to the Interior Ministry.

The new cabinet will begin the preparation of its policy statement which it plans to submit to the Chamber of Deputies on August 10, prior to the required vote of confidence.

Messrs Bárta, Zahalka, and Moroz are founding members of the ASIS Chapter 252 in the Czech Republic.
