INDESEC, India's only dedicated exhibition and conference addressing Indian homeland security wins the support and backing of The United States India Business Council (USIBC).
The USIBC is the premier business advocacy organisation, comprising of America's and India's top-tier companies, whose chief aim is to deepen two-way trade and strengthen commercial ties. The USIBC was formed in 1975 at the request of the government of the United States and India to involve the private sectors of both countries to enhance investment flows between the United States and India. Its primary mission is to serve as a direct link between business and government leaders, resulting in increased trade and investment.
"U.S. - In Business Council is proud to be associated with INDESEC 2010. Building upon an already-unprecedented level of collaboration in counterterrorism, intelligence sharing and exchange of data since the 2008 Mumbai "26-11" terror attacks, INDESEC EXPO 2010 provides premier defence and security companies from the United States an excellent platform to demonstrate our ability to enhance collaboration, information sharing and capacity building in critical areas of homeland security, vital to India's national security needs," says USIBC's Director for Aerospace & Defence Nik Khanna, speaking in Washington, DC.
Nigel McGuire, Exhibition Director at Informa India, the founders and organisers of INDESEC adds: "We are delighted to have USIBC support the event. We have always been the only event to have the official support from the Ministry of Home Affairs, to now have the USIBC working with us only consolidates our position as the must-attend event for senior decision makers from the public sector looking to procure homeland security technology, products & services."
The INDESEC Expo opens its doors to international companies showcasing solutions in homeland & border security, network centric operations and maritime security. With new country pavilions participating this year, INDESEC will deliver the central government officials and decision makers from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Paramilitary Forces, Coast Guard, Army, Navy, Air Force, National Disaster Management Authority and more than half of the state police forces. Located in Delhi - the headquarters of Homeland Security decision makers and influencers, INDESEC takes place from September 6 - 8, 2010.
Expressing his views, Nik Khanna elaborates: "Recent high level meetings between the U.S and India have included discussions on maritime security, cyberspace and space cooperation, and focused heavily on the violent extremism that threatens both countries and their need to continue collaborative efforts to confront it. The U.S-India Business Council and it's premier member companies look forward to our engagement with Government of India officials and Indian industry during our Inaugural Homeland Security Executive Mission to India in September " said speaking in Washington, DC."
USIBC boasts a membership of over 1,000 companies across numerous business sectors and will be bringing a senior management delegation from its membership to attend the Exhibition and Conference. Delegates from companies such as Raytheon, Boeing, BAE Systems, Oracle, IBM & General Electric, to name but a few will be in attendance.
