Panasonic System Networks Company of America announced new lines of day/night fixed analogue cameras, including box cameras and fixed dome versions, all of which provide high resolution (650 TV lines), high sensitivity with day/night function and a 16-axis matrix colour compensation function for a wider range of natural colour adjustment. Other features include automatic electronic sensitivity enhancement (up to 32x) and manual enhancement up to 512x; adaptive digital noise reduction (integrating 2D-DNR and 3D-DNR), 2x digital zoom and an auto-image stabilizer for applications where vibration or wind is a concern.

The Panasonic WV-CP300 Series are highly compact box cameras measuring only 2-7/8" x 2-1/8" x 4".  The units offer 24vAC or 12vDC power options, over-the-coax data communication and high-sensitivity with day/night (electrical) function. Light sensitivity is 0.08 lux (colour) and 0.05 lux (black and white [B/W]).

The WV-CP310 and WV-CP314 models incorporate an infrared (IR) cut filter that switches on and off for greater light sensitivity in B/W mode (0.008 lux). The WV-CP300 and WV-CP304 are 2-7/8x2-1/8x3-1/4-in. box cameras without IR cut filters. The entire WV-CP300 Series includes auto back focus (ABF) for easy installation in colour and B/W modes.

Advanced functionality is available in the WV-CF300 Series of day/night fixed dome cameras. Panasonic WV-CF344 is a 4-in. fixed dome that offers a variety of mounting options, including surface mount, embedded mount (using an optional ceiling mount bracket), or mounting to a junction box. A 3.6x zoom (2.8mm - 10mm focal length) lens provides a wide coverage area while the dome's smart look provides seamless integration in shopping malls, hotels and hospitals. Additionally, the Panasonic WV-CF354 model provides auto back focus (ABF) which allows for quick installation and sharper images.

"Whether it's a compact box camera or a fixed dome, our new line of day/night fixed analogue cameras have a model for virtually any application," said Bill Taylor, President, Panasonic System Networks Company of America.

The WV-CP300 and WV-CF300 series cameras will be available in winter 2011.
