 Research confirms Dedicated Micros dominant position in DVR market within EMEA region
The latest research findings, published by IMS Research, have confirmed the market leading position of Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - as the number one supplier of own brand digital video recorders (DVRs) in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region and also the joint number one provider worldwide, with its proportion of the global market having increased by an impressive 18.8% compared to the previous year's figure of 4.8%.

In the IMS Research report issued this month, 'The EMEA Market for CCTV and Surveillance Equipment - 2008', and based on 2007 revenues, Dedicated Micros leads the way in the DVR category for the region with a dominant market share of 11% - 67% greater than its nearest rival on 6.6%. The research also underlines Dedicated Micros' growing strength in-depth as a solutions provider, especially for Enterprise DVRs where it is now ranked 6th with a 6.4% market share.

At a wider level, the latest IMS Research findings covering the Worldwide Market show that Dedicated Micros is positioned in the top spot, holding the joint number one position for DVRs on 5.7% - an increase of 18.8% in market share since the previous report -significantly ahead of the next highest provider on 4.8%.
