Available in both indoor and outdoor formats, the premium Oracle dome signifies a quantum leap in performance compared to the existing 2060 outdoor dome which it resembles externally. While the weatherproof variant of the Oracle may be compatible with existing 2060 mounting brackets, it is the first dome camera from Dedicated Micros to have its hardware and software designed from the ground-up with the company's own recording products specifically in mind for enhanced functionality.
This new approach to camera development has allowed a number of advances to be incorporated in the new Oracle dome. A case in point is the implementation of an on-screen 'Point & Go' PTZ control capability - which the company believes is unparalleled in the marketplace. It allows users to simply click on the point of interest on screen, and the Oracle dome will automatically move to the required position - just like a preset - fast and accurate. This is perfect for network-based systems where latency can mean joystick control is almost impossible. The 'Point & Go' function will be available when the Oracle dome camera is purchased in conjunction with a new generation video server, recorder or decoder from Dedicated Micros.
Said Pauline Norstrom, Worldwide Head of Marketing at Dedicated Micros: "The Oracle dome camera is undoubtedly a landmark in product development for
Other key features of the Oracle dome include: the ability to configure the dome via a connected DVRs comprehensive web pages; cable compensation to extend the maximum cable run and optimise quality of video from the dome; and the potential for maintenance and usage data for each dome to be accessed from a DVR. The outdoor version has the latest high-resolution (530TVL) camera module.
For peace of mind, the Oracle dome is backed with the same comprehensive, industry-leading, 4-year warranty as the 2060 dome.
