The shortlisting of D-Tec reflects its strong global business performance - with sales outside the UK expected to account for more than 83 per cent of turnover for the current financial year 2006/2007 - and the potential for its NetVu Connected fire detection technology, in particular its latest FireVu IP based system, to be readily integrated with a customer's security infrastructure.
D-Tec's advanced camera-based fire detection systems can be found on the front line of fire protection for a wide range of prestigious applications, whether it be the Sydney Harbour Tunnel in Australia, the Royal Airwing Hangar complex at the Dubai International Airport - the world's largest privately-owned aircraft hangar or the landmark ‘gherkin' office building in London.
Ian Moore, Managing Director at D-Tec said, "We are extremely pleased to be considered for such a prestigious award - our export sales have been phenomenal during 2006/2007 and we expect this growth to continue as we enter new markets and expand our FireVu customer base. In addition, with D-Tec Analytics we are taking our long-term expertise in image processing and expanding this into new security related packages including: Object Left, Object Removed, People Counting, Perimeter Protection and ANPR which are compatible with a range of systems from other AD Group companies such as Dedicated Micros."
The Security Excellence Awards ceremony is being held at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London on 10 October in front of hundreds of security professionals.
