The trade fair will take place from 15 - 17 September at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre |
The fair expects to attract more than 100 exhibitors and 6,000 professional buyers to view the latest products and services in over 5,000 sqm of exhibition space.
According to industry analysts, Thailand is one of the biggest security and safety markets in the ASEAN region; the Thai government recognises the importance of having an international security and safety trade fair in Thailand to further strengthen the industry. Already, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Labour and Royal Thai Police have confirmed their support to Intersec Thailand.
The show also receives strong support from many well-known local and overseas industry associations. These are Asian Professional Security Association - Thailand Chapter; ASIS International - Singapore Chapter; Executive Security Services Association of Thailand (ESSAT); International Security Industry Organisation (ISIO); Thai Contractor Association under His Majesty the King's Patronage and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).

Thailand, a promising market for security and safety industry
With an emphasis on attracting foreign investment, the Thai government has launched new plans to combat crime and terrorism to create greater social stability. Budget has been specifically allocated to strengthen city security measures. For example, the government has announced a security upgrade in public buildings including the Bank of Thailand, the Petroleum Authority of Thailand, Royal Thai customs and the new Thai parliament.
Thailand's economic stimulus package of USD 3.3 billion is aiming to further develop critical infrastructure and this is also fuelling the demand for security solutions. One of the infrastructure projects is the extension of Bangkok's mass rapid transit (MRT) system and the Suvarnabhumi Airport rail link, which will prompt a high demand for surveillance cameras.
In addition, Thailand enjoys a strategic location at the heart of Asia where the security market is growing steadily. Analyst, Frost & Sullivan has predicted that the annual security market growth rate in Asia-Pacific countries is 7.5%, reaching over USD 3 billion by 2015.
