James Walker, Managing Director of Dallmeier UK, says: "In recent years advances in security technology have focused almost exclusively on the technical capabilities of components or networks, not the practical yet complex operational requirements of modern systems. Now Dallmeier is addressing these needs with the launch of the VMC-1 "Eagle", and I believe the industry will swiftly recognise that yet again Dallmeier's reputation as the industry's leading innovator is well deserved."
VMC-1 "Eagle"
The ergonomically designed VMC-1 "Eagle" makes it easier for security personnel to remain focused and work effectively. Major advantages include the ability to quickly find and analyse recorded footage (replay forward & backward at different speeds) via the jog-shuttle and control PTZ domes with the 3 axis joystick. Also, position plans, search functions and all other features of the management system can be displayed on the monitor. The modular structure of the VMC-1 "Eagle" means that the individual components, whether it's the keypad, the joystick or the jog-shuttle, may be freely positioned and are equally accessible for both left- and right-handed operators. The individual components can also be used as individually programmable stand-alone devices. The VMC-1 "Eagle" is the first product of its kind to feature an interactive 6" LCD TFT monitor for the display of live pictures as well as recorded footage. The VMC-1 "Eagle" operates in conjunction with the SeMSy® management system.
Dallmeier's comprehensive range of cameras and domes will be on display at IFSEC. Of particular interest this year is Dallmeier's DDZ range of fully-functional PTZ domes - including a preview of the Dallmeier Panther - the world's first high speed PTZ dome with UWDR Cam_inPIX® technology. Currently comprising three models, the DDZ range offers users all the benefits of a remotely controlled high-resolution, high speed, day-night dome camera. Models are differentiated by optical zoom: 18x, 26x or 36x. Each model offers high sensitivity for low-light images and a high-performance Pan/Tilt/Zoom mechanism that includes 248 programmable preset positions and 12 programmable guard tours. The DDZ range is easy to install, configure, operate and maintain.
IP solutions
Dallmeier's commitment to the development of IP security solutions will be fully in evidence at IFSEC 2008 where visitors will be able to experience the company's complete range of IP products. In addition to Dallmeier's high-resolution UWDR Cam_inPIX® colour cameras and domes, this year's stand will feature Dallmeier's first true Network Video Recorder, the DMS 240 IPS, launched earlier this year. The DMS 240 IPS is a standalone recorder offering up to 24 IP-based audio and video channels. Also on display is Dallmeier's range of streamers - e.g. the DIS-2/M StreamerPro, DIS-2/M StreamerPro UTP and the DIS-2/M StreamerPro HDD Small which is designed for mobile or temporary use. These streamers are stand-alone audio and video encoders that facilitate the integration of analogue cameras in a network. At the same time as recording (when used with HDDs), the audio and video data can be transmitted in real-time as a stream via a network (RTP protocol).
