The integration pairs infnias’ eIDC32 door controllers and Savance’s EIOBoard

infinias, an industry-leading provider of IP-based access control software and hardware, recently announced a strategic integration partnership with Savance, a leading provider of business automation and employee tracking solutions.

The integration pairs two cutting-edge technologies—infnias’ Ethernet-enabled, PoE-powered eIDC32 door controllers, and Savance’s powerful EIOBoard (Electronic In-Out Board) – an innovative software tool used for employee attendance tracking and status, time and attendance, and inner office communications. The result – a unified employee tracking and access control solution, managed from a single interface, dramatically simplifying management of these previously disparate activities.

Both technologies leverage the network to capture and share information—and are easily deployed across a single campus, or a multi-building, multi-location installation. Simply connect one or more infinias eIDC32 controllers to the nearest switch via a single CAT5/6 cable, and capture every access-related event within the Savance platform. The EIOBoard can be hosted by Savance or on local servers, and can be accessed via Windows application, browser, mobile/smartphone, or kiosk interface.

“We are extremely excited about this strategic partnership with infinias,” said Steve Bardocz, Savance President and CEO. “The Savance mission is to simplify business management through technology integration. An integration with infinias’ highly-scalable, feature-rich solution allows us to deliver advanced capabilities that enhance the employee tracking requirements of virtually any-sized customer.”

“We are thrilled to partner with Savance,” said Wayne Jared, Chief Technology Officer at infinias. “Delivering infinias’ access control capabilities thru the EIOBoard business management platform provides integrators and end-users with a scalable, powerful, unified security platform that dramatically simplifies management and reduces total cost of ownership.”

The integrated solution was developed in response to overwhelming interest from customers, and was immediately deployed across several large-scale installations.

Jancox Stamping, a premier supplier of metal stampings and welded assemblies for the automotive industry, leveraged the system to reduce payroll, tracking and administration costs, and to streamline employee workflow.

Sherritt International, a worldwide leader in mining and refining ores—and the largest producer of thermal coal in Canada, leveraged the system to enhance employee safety and reduce liability, simplify reporting and management, and improve staff accountability.

"It may sound simple, but we need a system that can accurately track when our employees are here, and when they've left," said Martin Rowland, Safety and Training Coordinator for Sherritt’s Prairie Mines operations. “If a worker is still logged in - but not actually on the property, it could be a disaster in an emergency situation.  Savance’s integrated solution provides this level of accountability.”
