COE Group plc, the developer and supplier of advanced video systems, will be showcasing its latest video surveillance technologies at the International Fire & Security Exhibition (IFSEC) in Birmingham this week.

COE has 18 years experience supplying complex integrated systems into numerous airports, ports, rail systems such as Singapore MRT, Hong Kong KCRC and Network Rail, and industrial installations and urban surveillance systems.  This depth of experience has allowed COE to develop skills in hybrid analogue/digital systems as well as pure digital/IP systems, and a product set based on high profile experience.

At the core of COE's range, the X-Net trademark transmission and compression systems will be displayed.  This system provides very high quality video transmission and control of cameras and other peripherals over long distances in demanding environments such as rail and industrial.  X-Net is renowned for its flexibility, simplicity, and long term guarantees.

The compression range is led by COE's G3 MPEG4/MJPEG codec.  This system has video analytics on board, and has been demonstrated in fixed and train borne environments.  Based on flexible DSP architecture, COE is able to deliver significant software upgrades to the codecs remotely, allowing customers to benefit from future software development.

X-Net VI, the video analytics system integrated in partnership with Agent VI™, has proven itself as a unique architecture which allows scaleable application of multiple rules to individual video streams in large networks, which can be switched at choice between different video cameras.

X-Net NVR provides multiple location networked video recording based on standard IT hardware.  The X-Net NVR user interface  is an intuitive PC based operator interface for managing the NVR video archive.  This system is also field proven.  COE codecs are also integrated by several partners so customers can select COE codecs and other vendors' NVRs from a significant list.

COE provides the Genesys GUI (graphical user interface) which allows control of sizeable video systems as well as control of fire, access control, door locking and other adjacent sub-systems.  This system has field proven strength in numerous sites over 4 years.

COE has also optimised several of its products for use onboard trains together with its partner, Nomad Digital and the COE team can provide you with an update on these activities.  The CCTV onboard trains using WiMax radio takes advantage of the flexibility and ruggedness of the X-Net codec as well as the strength of Nomad's design and operational experience in Heathrow Express, Southern Trains and elsewhere.
