ACT showcased its range of products at IFSEC 2011 all designed using the most recent technologies

Access Control Technology used IFSEC 2011 as an opportunity to showcase a number of new products, due for release this year, including door controllers, readers, locks and software all designed using the most recent technologies.

Among the products being demonstrated was the ACTpro 1500 single door controller which will provide a cost effective access control solution for up to 32 doors. With an embedded web server and power monitoring this controller will be easy to install and simple to specify. The new look card readers have options for surface, flush, panel or mullion mount with card only or card and PIN versions. The card technologies used will include standard 125 kHZ and high security DESFire EV1.

Other products receiving a positive reaction from installers and specifiers utilised wireless technology to make installation quick and hassle free. The ACTpro lock is a battery operated device that communicates wirelessly to its network controller and in most cases will retrofit.

Already on the market is the ACTpro Wireless Bridge. With a 150m line-of-sight range this product is ideal for extending access control to a remote location that is difficult or expensive to cable. Visitors at the ACT stand also got an opportunity to try out the latest access control software application, ACT Enterprise. Designed to meet the demands of the most challenging access control systems its modular design with web based navigation allows for ease of use and configuration for both the installer and the system administrator.
