Sony recently announced it will be unveiling for the first time in Europe, its latest offering to the security market.  From IP to analogue, indoor to outdoor, minidome to box cameras, and now megapixel models, Sony is able to offer its customers a choice of products to suit any application.  

"Building on the success of Sony's existing security portfolio, the additional models have been introduced to afford customers and specialist Sony dealers even greater choice to suit their individual needs," said Simon Nash, Senior European Marketing Manager, NVM/CCTV.  "These latest models have been designed to be accessible and scalable, and created specifically for security applications."

Sony will launch the SNC-DM110 and its robust sister model, the SNC-DM160, to introduce Megapixel resolution to Sony's existing range of intelligent IP mini dome cameras.  In addition to this, the SNC-CM120 is Sony's first C-Mount security box camera with Megapixel resolution.  All three provide high-quality imaging and sensitivity whilst utilising Sony's intelligent Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture (DEPA) technology.  These models based on 1/3 type, complementary colour Progressive Scan CCD sensors with ExwavePRO technology.  The SNC-DM160 model features a built-in heater and comes with a vandal-resistant polycarbonate dome and aluminium die-cast housing to offer IP66 ingress protection.

Another addition to Sony's mini dome range will be the analogue SSC-CD79 camera.  This camera is based on a 1/3 type CCD with Sony's unique DynaView technology, offering a wide dynamic range for high sensitivity.  The SSC-CD79 is also toughened, featuring IP66 ingress protection.

Building on the success of Sony's first intelligent network speed dome the SNC-RX550 launched in 2007, Sony will further boost the line-up with the introduction of two Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) IP cameras.  The entry-level model SNC-RX530 is based on a 1/4 type Exwave HAD® CCD and provides an 18x optical zoom.  The new high-end model, Sony's new SNC-RX570, features a 1/4 type Exwave HAD® CCD with DynaView wide dynamic range technology and a 36x zoom lens.  All of the models in this range combine speed dome capability with extremely high image quality, DEPA intelligence, dual encoding and three compression formats, and privacy zone masking.
