The day started with a presentation from Simon Harris, Executive Vice President of IMS Research. His compelling presentation helped to spell out just how important integration has become in the security market.

Graeme Howe, Event Director and his team explained the detail behind ISS Expo. Key points he covered included:
- ISS Expo treats security as a business process and not a series of product purchases. This is why education is such an important element of the proposition.
- The team behind ISS Expo have a proven track record of launching new events. Industry leading events previously launched by them include E Commerce Expo and AD:TECH London.
- Education on the show floor will be available FREE to all visitors. The three seminar theaters will each seat over 70 people. The major themes for the education will be:
- Business
- Implementation
- Technology
- The visitor marketing campaign will run throughout the year with a huge uplift in activity in the 17 weeks leading up the show. Horizontal and vertical media will be used to maximise campaign reach. Press, direct mail, email and online activity will all be utilised in order to maximise frequency amongst the target audience.
Graeme also outlined the special offer which is available to everyone who signs up before the end of November. With more than 15 companies already reserving space at the exhibition, ISS Expo is set for an extremely successful first event in October 2012.
