VidSys, a leading provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, recently announced details of its participation in the upcoming security industry event, IFSEC International 2013, taking place May 13 – 16 at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, UK. During this four-day event, VidSys executives will lead multiple sessions, demo the company’s recently released 7.0 PSIM software version and provide a sneak preview of findings from its second-annual EMEA Security Survey.

- Control Room Technologies (May 14, 2013 at 10:20 a.m.; Integrated Security Theatre, Main Hall), VidSys Sales Director EMEA, James Whybrow will lead a session exploring crucial control room technologies, including PSIM software, that enable public safety organisations to connect and utilise data streaming in from multiple, disconnected physical security devices. During his presentation, Whybrow will discuss how situations can be identified and resolved quickly by obtaining one common operating picture of unfolding situations.
- The Evolving Role of the Security Systems Integrator (May 14, 2013 at 12:00 noon; Centre Stage), VidSys Phil Stockham, Project Manager will join IMS Research Security Market Analyst Paul Bremner to discuss how the role of the security systems integrator is changing to keep pace with rapid advances in technology. Stockham and Bremner will dig deep into how the transition to IP technology has encouraged IT professionals to join the integrator environment, in turn causing the shift from high equipment costs to higher design and consultancy service costs from the typical integrator.

- Challenges in Transport and CNI Security Panel (May 14, 2013 at 12:45 p.m.; Integrated Security Theatre, Main Hall), James Whybrow joins security industry leaders in a panel to discuss issues facing Critical National Infrastructure and the transportation sectors.
In addition to these presentations, VidSys will be on site at Sony booth (Hall 4 J10) to showcase the recently released 7.0 version of its PSIM software. Version 7.0 features heightened 3D visualisation, advanced mobile application capabilities and detailed situation reports including video snapshots, giving users in the field even more control over managing situations directly from their device. These enhancements will allow public and private organisations to improve overall response times, accuracy and organisational risk compliance.
VidSys also will provide a preview of findings from its second annual EMEA Security Survey designed to gain insight into the security concerns and buying patterns of the public sector, national government and corporate enterprise organisations.
