The MegaView® 2 IP bullet camera delivers STELLAR™ Low Light Technology to reduce motion blur |
Arecont Vision®, the industry leader in IP megapixel camera technology, has added a number of significant features to the company’s popular MegaView® 2 true day/night bullet style megapixel cameras.
New features of the MegaView® 2 IP bullet camera being debuted at Intersec 2015 include Arecont Vision’s groundbreaking STELLAR™ (Spatio TEmporal Low Light ARchitecture) Low Light Technology, optional on-board storage; CorridorView™; and non-integer scaling.
The MegaView® 2 IP bullet camera delivers STELLAR™ Low Light Technology to reduce motion blur, noise and storage requirements. The technology enhances contrast and produces color imaging in near complete darkness on 1.2MP models. Due to its outstanding ability to capture object details in extreme lighting conditions, this camera is ideal for many low light applications.
To reduce the risk of losing important data from short network outages or to help reduce network strain from high storage costs, the MegaView® 2 IP bullet camera includes local storage supporting up to a 32 SD/SDHC card.
The CorridorView™ feature allows the camera’s image to be rotated 90 degrees to reduce capturing unnecessary data. This works great for narrow hallways where pixels are often wasted due to capturing the surrounding walls.
Reducing bandwidth and storage costs whenever possible is added value for any network. The MegaView® 2 IP bullet camera features non-integer scaling which provides the ability to scale images to different resolutions down to 128x96. This flexibility allows users to tailor their system for their specific need; reducing system bandwidth and storage costs.
MegaView® 2 IP bullet cameras feature Arecont Vision’s true wide dynamic range (WDR) technology which provides a dynamic range of up to 100dB at full resolution without lowering frame rates (1080p and 3MP models). By combining long and short exposures in the same field of view, WDR maximises the amount of detail in both bright and dark areas of a scene. The WDR performance of Arecont Vision® cameras represents up to 50dB improvement (300X) in dynamic range compared to conventional megapixel cameras.
“Arecont Vision® continues to establish new benchmarks in megapixel performance to address the evolving needs of our customers" |
“Arecont Vision® continues to establish new benchmarks in megapixel performance to address the evolving needs of our customers,” said Raul Calderon, Senior Vice President, Arecont Vision®. “As we continue to innovate new megapixel imaging products, we will also continue to improve upon existing market leading products such as our MegaView® 2 Day/Night megapixel cameras by adding enhanced features such as STELLAR™ that further improve their performance and coverage capabilities.”
Additional performance features found in MegaView® 2 bullet cameras include: remote focus/zoom p-iris lenses, integrated infrared illuminators, wide angle or telephoto options; H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10)/MJPEG dual encoders; privacy masking; extended motion detection with 1,024 distinct motion detection zones; pixel binning for increased light sensitivity (3MP, 5MP and 10MP models); IP66 environmentally rated housings for use in harsh environments; flexible cropping to adjust image sizes; and the ability to choose PoE (Power over Ethernet) or external power. MegaView® 2 Telephoto cameras are available with integrated long distance infrared illuminators in resolutions of 1080p, 3MP, 5MP and 10MP.
The new cameras seamlessly integrate with a wide range of third-party providers, since they are PSIA and ONVIF conformant.
Harco Group, Norbain, and Systematrix/PXLines will be displaying Arecont Vision® cameras in their booths at Intersec. VMS partners Aimetis, AxxonSoft, Genetec, and Milestone Systems will also feature Arecont Vision® cameras at the event.
