ASSA ABLOY Door Solution's team featured members of Mul-T-Lock, Yale UK and UNION
ASSA ABLOY has come top of the league for fundraising, after taking part in ‘The Premier League Season in One Day' event for Sport Relief 2010.

Organised by Anglian Home Improvements, the sporting spectacular in Norwich saw 380 games played by 20 teams, in a five-a-side football tournament to recreate every game of the current Barclays Premier League, in just one day.

ASSA ABLOY's team, which featured members of Mul-T-Lock, Yale UK, UNION and ASSA ABLOY Door Solutions played as Birmingham City for the day and raised a total of £1,256.50 the highest amount by the end of play from all the teams entered.

John Ward of ASSA ABLOY commented: "ASSA ABLOY had a fantastic day and all members of the team were really proud to be involved with this exceptional charity sporting event."

"We had a great response from everyone we work with, all keen to get behind us for the day and help to raise as much money as possible for Sport Relief 2010. We hope at the same time, by being involved we have helped to raise awareness for those less fortunate in our immediate area and further afield."

A total of £20,000 was raised by Anglian Home Improvements for the event, all of which has gone straight to Comic Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both at home and across the world's poorest countries.
