Users returning their MIC300 will be eligible to receive a £500 credit towards the price of a new MIC400 CCTV

Bosch Security Systems has launched a new scheme for users of its MIC300 cameras to receive a financial incentive to upgrade to its new MIC400 model before the MIC300 reaches its ‘end-of-service' on 31st December 2010, from when Bosch will no longer offer a repair service on the MIC300.

Users returning their MIC300 Series camera to Bosch Security between now and the end of the year will be eligible to receive a £500 credit towards the price of a new MIC400 series system, assuming the return is clearly a complete system and assessed as a genuine repair.

"The MIC300 reached its ‘end-of-life' in 2002, and we have been supporting repairs for some considerable time beyond our stated five-year service ‘window'," says Paul Wong, Managing Director of Bosch Security Systems.

"The six-month promotion is to give MIC300 owners, or installers who have customers/maintenance contracts on MIC300s, an opportunity to upgrade/swap effectively at a reduced cost. From 1st January 2011 the only option will be to buy a replacement at full cost."

Those looking to take advantage of the scrappage scheme should contact the Bosch Security Repairs and Returns team on +44 (0) 189 587 8159 or visit their website.
