37 Bosch AutoDome 300 Series digital day/night PTZ cameras were positioned on light poles |
Challenge:
With continued emphasis on enhancing public safety capabilities including building exteriors, parking lots, and surrounding areas, California State University at Long Beach chose to implement a wireless video surveillance system, completed November 2008, to monitor day-to-day activities, special events, and increase their ability to respond immediately to developing situations.
Solution:
Local law enforcement agencies including the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department and the Santa Monica Police Department recommended Firetide's wireless network solution along with Bosch AutoDome cameras.
Site Feedback:
Thirty-seven (37) Bosch AutoDome 300 Series digital day/night PTZ cameras were positioned on light poles, various structures around campus, and in remote parking lots. In addition, forty (40) of Firetide’s HotPort 6000 mesh nodes were installed throughout the campus which are managed centrally using HotView Pro Network Management Software.
