Forward Vision, a member of the Bosch Group, has announced that the latest addition to the MIC1, or "Metal Mickey", series of fully functional PTZ cameras - the MIC1-500 - will be making its first public appearance at IFSEC 2008.

Featuring an all new design with integrated sunshield, the MIC1-500 incorporated a twist-lock canting function allowing the camera can be canted at 45º while on-site, On-Screen Display (OSD) menus for remote camera set-up and a choice of 540TVL 18x or 36x Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) camera modules.

In addition to this the MIC1-500 carries the same unique features that make all MIC1 series cameras so popular: IP68 rating, optically perfect flat viewing window, multi-protocol operation, brushless motor technology and tough vandal resistant design.

Darren Gaffey, product manager for the MIC1 series, explains that even though the feature list is impressive, the cost of the unit has been carefully considered too:  "By taking advantage of the very latest manufacturing techniques and working with the latest technology we have been able to offer the MIC1-500 with an extremely high specification, but at a price point that gives unbeatable value.  This means that a wider base of applications can now enjoy all the benefits that the MIC1 series has to offer."

Also making their first appearance at the exhibition are new infrared illuminators for the MIC1 series that offer over 55 meter range and feature Black Diamond™ technology from leading lighting specialist Derwent to give even illumination across the entire scene and totally negate "hot-spots".

Alongside these new products visitors will also have the opportunity to try out a number of other exciting cameras from the company's MIC1-400 aluminium, MIC1-400S stainless steel, MIC1-412 thermal and MIC1-440 ATEX certified ranges.

Forward Vision will be alongside Extreme and Derwent on stand 16045.
