Bosch's IP products are compatible with the ONVIF standard for open interoperability

On the invitation of its strategic software partner, Bosch Security Systems was one of the industry’s leading players at the recent Milestone Partner Open Platform (MPOP) Days. Held in Abu Dhabi, this road show consisted of several seminars focusing on the value of open platform IP security systems in all their many forms. The seminar and accompanying exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for Bosch to network with the audience of system integrators and resellers, as well as to showcase its technology and solutions to new business prospects and key market players in the Middle East and Africa. “The event was a perfect platform to demonstrate how not only our high-end cameras with onboard video analytics, but also our latest cost-efficient Advantage Line cameras can seamlessly integrate into the Milestone platform – offering unique possibilities for system integrators to capitalise on,” explains Baraa Dakhal, Business Development Manager at Bosch Security Systems in Dubai.

Powerful partners

Cameras from Bosch already support much of the open platform IP video management software on the market, including that developed by Milestone. In addition, all of the IP products supplied by Bosch are compatible with the ONVIF standard for open interoperability. The MPOP Days also allowed Bosch to underline its further commitment to open platforms. “We had some extremely positive feedback about Bosch joining the MPOP Days in Abu Dhabi. The partners were pleased to see the integration between Bosch and Milestone and to gain in-depth knowledge about the value of working with open platform standards that both companies bring to the table,” comments Rohit Khubchandani, Marketing Programme Manager – MEA at Milestone Systems. As a result, Bosch was able to extend its offer of supplying software development kits (SDKs) and tools to companies interested in supporting its security products.

Impressive display

By encouraging its various partners at the MPOP Days to interact, Milestone promotes a greater awareness of the companies in attendance, as well as their products and services. In this way, Bosch was able to demonstrate its comprehensive range of HD cameras to architects and engineers, as well as to key influencers from the IT industry. One of these partners is Anixter, and their Regional Sales Manager for Security & Infrastructure in the Middle East, Paul Rizk was evidently impressed by the Bosch offering: “The Bosch display was the most interesting by far at MPOP. You can easily notice the incredible color differentiation and picture clarity on the new HD camera. Bosch also offers the most affordable, yet reliable intelligence with their video systems. Lastly, their extended portfolio of communications and security products is the one-stop solution for all various technology challenges.”

The Abu Dhabi event was the latest in a series of such road shows, which have previously been held in France, Italy, and Bulgaria.
