Integrated security specialist, Bewator, has extended its customer training centre to include a new range of tailored courses for installers.
Bewator was one of the first security manufacturers in the UK to offer specific training courses on access, video, and integrated security solutions. The company runs a range of product and technology courses, which provide an insight into the technical and visionary concepts of the security industry - a crucial factor for installers to understand, enabling them to make the most efficient use of security products.
New courses on offer include Bewator's Coax Controller, a combined coaxial telemetry transmitter and protocol converter, which enables the user to control Bewator domes and telemetry products over the coax when using DVRs or non-Bewator systems. The focus of the course is to provide the delegates with a good understanding of the product's features, its uses and how it can help solve problems on existing and new sites.
Training manager for Bewator, Adam Findlay said: "The training centre has been a great success since its launch in 2005. Due to popular demand we are delighted to be extending our course offering to installers."
In response to the move towards digital technologies and the need for the modern security installer to acquire new skills, Bewator has also expanded its training courses covering the use of digital video solutions. The company is running two courses to help users understand technical terminology, as well as providing an in-depth introduction to the Eventys product range, one of Bewator's most popular products.
The training centre has also introduced a Basic Networking Skills course, which aims to clarify the increasingly complex world of the IP Network. The one-day course covers MAC and IP addresses, local area networks and sub-networks in addition to the Internet, network tools, network faultfinding tips and IP-Ready Products.
Access control courses have also been extended to include a new module on the Entro Lite system, which has been developed to bridge the gap between single door and multi-door access control systems. With a seamless upgrade path to the Entro 5 system, Entro Lite allows customers to begin with a low cost stand-alone solution and expand to multi-site capabilities.
Finally, the Granta Engineer Training, which enables trainees to become accustomed with the latest Granta 5 software and its DVR integration capability, and subsequently compose a completely integrated access control solution, tailored to specific needs.
