The integration brings video and metadata from ioimage's centralised and edge video analytics devices directly into the 3VR user interface where the associated video can easily be viewed, indexed, and searched upon as part of any organisations efforts to improve safety and mitigate risk.
"As an addition to the 3VR platform, we feel ioimage provides key video analytics that help solve mission critical problems for businesses and the public sector," said Tim Frederick, director of engineering at 3VR. "By immediately alerting of incorrect or suspicious actions and sending them directly into 3VR's user friendly interface, security professionals can analyse and act on better data more efficiently."
The 3VR Developer Network, which was announced in 2007, gives leading security technology companies access to 3VR's search engine and video management platform.
ioimage is the leading supplier of intelligent cameras and encoders with over 37 percent of the world market of mid/high analytics, according to IMS Research's ‘World Market for Video Content Analysis' June 2008. ioimage's edge and centralised encoders and cameras designed for simplicity provide the highest level of security for a wide range of scenarios including intrusion detection, unattended baggage, stopped vehicles, loitering, PTZ tracking, object removal, and more.
The integration is commercially available today at no additional cost to customers who purchase the necessary equipment from the two companies.
"3VR's intelligent video management solution and powerful search capabilities make a great fit for ioimage's high performance real time video analytics solutions," said Dvir Doron, vice president of marketing for ioimage. "Our mutual commitment to open platforms enabled a rapid seamless integration, resulting in a wider selection of best-of-breed platforms for our customers."
3VR and ioimage will be demonstrated the new integration at the ASIS International show in Atlanta.
