Linear LLC showcased its range of smart PERS transmitters at ISC West 2011

Linear LLC introduced two new Personal Emergency Reporting System (PERS) Long-Range Transmitters that are smaller, lighter and more powerful. Both were showcased at Linear's exhibit at ISC West, booth 20086, as well as at the SIA New Product Showcase, booth 10074.

Redesigned to be smaller, more attractive and lighter weight, the new DXS-LRP Pendant and DXS-LRW Wristband work with the company's PERS 2400B and 3600B Consoles. Both transmitters are 20 percent more powerful than prior models, supplying the maximum power output allowed by the FCC for improved transmission reliability and range the widest coverage in the industry. Yet, both models weigh a mere third of an ounce.

DXS transmitters have an extra long-life lithium ion battery, rated at up to 4.7 years

"Active people want the least intrusive products possible to transmit their personal emergency requests," notes Todd Hokunson, Vice President of Sales for Linear Electronic Systems. "These new designs are stylish enough to wear full-time, providing highly reliable protection with the increased range, users demand today."

The DXS transmitters have an extra long-life lithium ion battery, rated at up to 4.7 years.  Shock and water resistant (up to 30 minutes at a depth of three feet), the units also have recessed activation buttons to avoid accidental transmissions. Using the DX protocol, the DXS-LRP and DXS-LRW are compatible with Linear's existing and future generations of PERS Consoles, security panels, and are capable of full RF supervision including low battery reporting.

Like all of its PERS equipment, Linear manufactures and services its long-range transmitters, which deliver compatibility and expandability from one source. Linear PERS equipment is the first choice of leading independent emergency reporting providers in the U.S.
