Following the successful launch of the Honeywell GX Remote Control app V2.1 earlier this year, Honeywell recently announced new functionality to the mobile app with the addition of output control.
With smartphone and tablet usage skyrocketing, the app is designed to provide users with an easier and more intuitive way to remotely access, manage and control their Galaxy® Flex and Galaxy Dimension intruder alarm systems wherever they are in the world. The app already allows busy business owners or homeowners to instantly request a status report, set and unset the alarm and review log information but the update adds further functionality:
- Output Control which allows the control of electrical systems ranging from heating and air-conditioning, to lighting and gate control via the App. Users can control these systems remotely enabling remote home & business automation from any smart device. This function also enables simple control of panel outputs.
- Multiple Sites enhancement - up to 20 sites can now be managed via the App (an increase from 5 in the previous version of the App).
Output Control was added in response to the growing popularity of home automation with an increasing number of customers looking for a single platform to monitor and control multiple electrical systems on their premises.
The app has also been updated to be compatible with several more Android devices offering even more smartphone users greater remote management of their premises.
GX Remote Control App v2.2 is available on both iOS and Android devices via the App Store and Play Store respectively.
