The three-day networking conference will feature 40 educational sessions from Honeywell technology experts

The clock is ticking to register for Honeywell’s largest-ever gathering of its authorised security dealers at the CONNECT 2013 conference Nov. 7-10 at the JW Marriott Los Angeles LA LIVE. Representatives from Honeywell’s three largest dealer organisations—First Alert Professional (FAP), Commercial Security Systems (CSS) and Honeywell Integrated Security (HIS) networks—are invited to be among the expected 1,000 attendees and first-ever gathering of all three dealer organisations at the same venue.

Security professionals will examine a wide swath of topics ranging from the business impact of cloud technologies, to how to be a part of the “Internet of Things.”

The three-day networking conference will feature 40 educational sessions, which will be presented by Honeywell technology experts, dealers and enterprise-level integrators.

Machine-to-machine cloud technologies expert Etherios, for example, will present a session discussing how security dealers can adapt to the “Internet of Things” and better support customers in an era with billions of connected devices generating data on a daily basis. Other topics include:

  • Creating integrated buildings that link physical security together with IT security and  energy management
  • An update on the connected home and connected small business markets
  • The business impact of server virtualisation
  • How to migrate from 2G to 4G alarm communications
  • A sneak peek at next year’s updated Honeywell Pro-Watch security management platform
  • Building successful vertical markets sales teams; and
  • Strategic business planning and acquisition strategies

“Arming our authorised dealers and integrators with the knowledge to better position themselves for the future of the security industry is a very serious undertaking,” said Marek Robinson, president of Authorised Dealer Groups, Honeywell Security Products Americas. “What better way to do that than by engaging industry experts and hearing from industry peers? Attendees leave the conference feeling better prepared to face challenges and differentiate their businesses. They’re truly investing in their futures by taking part in CONNECT 2013.”

“I’m looking forward to the CONNECT 2013 Conference because I have not attended any of the past conferences without bringing home at least one idea that will make our company better,” said Eddie Pile, owner of Mid-America Security Systems in Louisville, Ky.“It’s always a pleasure to be around people that are willing to share their best practices. First Alert Professional has made us a better company.”
