Leading global provider of security and safety solutions Ingersoll Rand has extended its advanced range of high security cylinders with the introduction of CISA Astral Tekno Cylinders.

The new cylinder range is patented until 2026 ensuring the highest possible levels of security and patent protection, providing customers with added peace of mind. The key is also patented for superior protection against illegal key duplication. The CISA Astral Tekno Cylinder comprises euro profile cylinders in single, standard and offset double format, as well as a standard and offset double, with thumb turn format in a wide selection of lengths.

The system is designed to handle complex Masterkey systems and is capable of producing up to 63,000 cylinders on a single system. CISA Astral Tekno utilises a ten pin, two row key biting cylinder system which has over 1.6 million different key combinations as well as security enhancements to protect against all forms of forced entry.

The CISA Astral Tekno Cylinder comes with pick resistant profiled brass pins and drivers and a BKP bump resistant device as standard as well as hardened steel pins and drivers to protect from drilling.

Stuart Costigan, Technical Product Manager at Ingersoll Rand, said: “The introduction of the CISA Astral Tekno Cylinder range offers end users and facility managers, working in all market sectors from education to healthcare and commercial and retail, a flexible and sophisticated means of providing patented security."

“Crucially, as the new range is backwards compatible with the CISA Astral and Astral S cylinders we can now offer a flexible Masterkey system able to cope with all requirements, providing the ability to set the precise level of security of each door in the building.”

All Ingersoll Rand products are offered with industry needs in mind and are backed up by the company’s ISO9001 and ISO4001 accreditations.
