IQinVision, market leader in high performance network cameras, intelligent video processors, and network video recording (NVR) systems, today announced that the Madison Park Development Corporation, in Roxbury MA, has deployed IQeye megapixel network cameras in its efforts to ensure a safer, more secure environment for the community's residents. Technology Bridge, of Dorchester, MA, is integrator of record and is overseeing installation.
Madison Park Village comprises five properties totalling 550 units with more than 1200 residents. On any given day, thousands of residents, visitors, and related business people enter and exit the property. The Madison Park Development Corporation (MPDC), a community development corporation chartered by the city of Boston, oversees the housing community. Maloney Properties, Inc., an affordable housing management company, provides day-to-day property management.
"Our goal is to identify and prosecute ‘impact players," said Mark Kelly, Vice President for Maloney Properties. "We want to identify and take direct legal action against those individuals-residents and non-residents-who are causing problems in the community. Making positive video identification of suspects is key to our efforts to maintain and improve security."
IQinVision's megapixel, high resolution IQeye cameras have been installed in strategic locations around the village to create a "virtual gated community," in which the surveillance technology clearly captures faces of potential perpetrators.
Utilising state-of-the-art technology is crucial to improving safety for the community. Paul Bodell, IQinVision VP Sales and Marketing, remarked on what he had been told, "Madison Park is an oasis of calm and relative safety within the Roxbury community. Maloney Properties and the MPDC are committed to employing the most sophisticated technology to protect this community and its residents, and we're pleased they chose IQinVision as one of those technology providers."
