British comedy was used by Raytec to show how CCTV lighting enhances performance of cameras at night
Raytec's latest viral video marketing campaign certainly got everyone talking. The spoof nature ‘mockumentary' video used typical British comedy to communicate the fundamental need for dedicated CCTV lighting to improve the performance of any security camera during the hours of darkness.

Using new media and humour to capture attention and urge people to pass it on, the video received instant and phenomenal success on YouTube with over 2500 hits. The video captured rare footage of the Raytec bear in its natural woodland habitat under the cover of absolute darkness, answering the age old question... Does a Bear **** in the woods?

The footage demonstrates how high performance Infra-Red lighting can be used for effective covert surveillance, and crystal clear, quick-start White-Light can be deployed as a visual deterrent.

With the chance to win an iPAD for correctly naming the bear, the competition received hundreds of entries. Raytec can now reveal that contrary to common belief, the Raytec bear was not the lesser spotted Shaun Cutler, MD of Raytec, but none other than their latest marketing recruit Declan Clark.

Congratulations to Andy Barton, Sales Director of Monarch CCTV Systems Ltd., the proud owner of a new iPAD!
