VIVOTEK is launching FD8131, a compact, bandwidth-efficient megapixel fixed dome with a 3-12 mm vari-focal lens designed for indoor applications.
Equipped with a 1-megapixel sensor enabling viewing resolution of 1280x800 at 30 fps, VIVOTEK FD8131 camera delivers excellent image quality with fine detail. In addition to high-resolution video, the FD8131 offers a vari-focal lens, which provides users the freedom to adjust the field of view in accordance with their application and installation environment.
"At VIVOTEK, we understand market demands and what users from all types of vertical markets are looking for," said William Ku, Director of Brand Business at VIVOTEK. "A standalone device with a compact design that blends in well with interior décor like the FD8131 is the ideal solution for indoor applications."
The majority of the products at VIVOTEK, including the FD8131, support the industry-standard H.264 compression technology, which helps reduce file sizes and conserve network bandwidth. With MPEG-4 and MJPEG compatibility also embedded, video streams can also be transmitted in any of such formats for versatile applications. The streams can also be individually configured to meet different constraints, thereby further reducing bandwidth and storage requirements. Users can thus receive multiple streams simultaneously in different resolutions, frame rates and image quality for viewing on different platforms.
VIVOTEK FD8131 boasts a number of advanced features that are standard for VIVOTEK cameras, including tamper detection, MicroSD/SDHC card slot, 802.3af compliant PoE and VIVOTEK‘s 32-channel recording software.
According to Ku, this model is designed for open areas such as offices, banks and retail stores.
VIVOTEK FD8131 will be available as of July 2012. The FD8131V, the vandal-proof model, will be available in August 2012. Please visit Product on the VIVOTEK website for more information.
