The STANLEY Rush Series 4900 ASR provides both anti-piggybacking and anti-tailgating detection

STANLEY Security, a leading provider of security products, services and integrated solutions, introduces the new STANLEY Rush Series 4900 ASR Automatic Security Revolving Door with anti-tailgating detection and optional anti-piggybacking sensing systems at the ASIS International 59th Annual Seminar and Exhibits (ASIS 2013), September 24-27 in Chicago, IL.

For those facilities requiring a heightened level of security, the STANLEY Rush Series 4900 ASR Automatic Security Revolving Doors have the option to provide both anti-piggybacking and anti-tailgating detection. Utilising the Optex OV-301 sensing system’s proven Time-of-Flight (TOF) technology, self-contained infrared light sources and a camera captures the reflected light. An internal processor in the OV-301 measures the time of reflected light and creates a depth image to analyze the objects within the revolving door, allowing the built-in processor to determine if one or two persons have entered into the security revolving door. The processor compares the images with images stored in memory to detect security violations, preventing unwanted intruders from entering the secured facility by trying to use the same section of the revolving door on a single authorisation.

The door also offers the base unit with an anti-tailgating feature to be used when a lower level of security is required. The STANLEY Rush Series 4900 ASR doors have ceiling mounted active infrared (AIR) sensors to prevent unwanted intruders from entering the secured facility by following in the next section of the revolving door, or by attempting to enter when a person is leaving from the secure side.

In both piggybacking and tailgating security violation, the door will stop its rotation and reverse back to the unsecure, public area. The unauthorised user is requested, by means of a voice enunciator, to clear the door entry. Once cleared, the door will resume its rotation to allow access to the authorised user with valid security presentation.

“The STANLEY Rush Series 4900 ASR security doors effectively prevent unauthorised entry, ensuring a safe and secure internal environment for our customers, their employees and property”

Designed to be installed on a finished floor with no recess, the STANLEY Rush Series 4900 ASR security doors can be easily installed and are ideal for both new and renovation projects. The STANLEY Rush Series 4900 ASR functions automatically with an AC motor, featuring an integral braking assembly. Activation is compatible with any security system and valid ID presentation, such as the new STANLEY EyeLock on display at the show, which sends a signal to the door control. The door begins rotating up to 180º when the authorised user enters the revolving door and is picked up by infrared motion sensors to allow entry into the building. After this rotation, the door stops by means of a brake on the motor and the four wings are locked in place and cannot rotate until another valid ID signal is received by the control. The doors allow for simultaneous two-way traffic and continuous operation, and are equipped with a mechanism to collapse the wings for emergency egress from the building, when the door receives an emergency signal.

“The STANLEY Rush Series 4900 ASR security doors effectively prevent unauthorised entry, ensuring a safe and secure internal environment for our customers, their employees and property,” said Jeffrey Fabian, Sales Director for STANLEY Security. “Compared to other anti-tailgating systems on the market, the TOF technology is one of the most accurate systems available, providing top-quality technology to easily enforce safety protocol in their facilities.”
