The TeleEye team successfully finished the 100km trail in 23 hours and 27 minutes
Oxfam Trailwalker is currently one of the largest fundraising sports events in Hong Kong.  Since 1986, over HK$270 million has been raised by more than 58,000 participants for supporting Oxfam's various poverty alleviation and emergency relief projects around the world.  This year, TeleEye Group continues in sponsoring a team of four to participate this meaningful event.  Finally, the TeleEye team successfully finished the 100km trail in 23 hours and 27 minutes, which is almost 3 hours faster than their record last year.

The TeleEye team was formed of two staff members and two volunteers.  The gears and entry fund of the team were sponsored by the company.  Moreover, in order to support the TeleEye team, colleagues from the company were very eager to donate money.  They are pleased to be involved in this meaningful event.

Completing the Oxfam Trailwalker is not an easy task.  Participants have to finish the 100km MacLehose Trail in 48 hours.  Parts of the trail are hilly, rugged, and even with difficult terrain.  The highest peak in Hong Kong, Tai Mo Shan, was also included in the route.  Because of the hardship, the TeleEye Team started training a few months before the event.  They were all confident in finishing the event.  On 7th November, the TeleEye team started their journey with more than 4,000 partcipants.  Eventually, they successfully achieved its goal and finished the trial in 23 hours 27 minutes.

Sidney Chan, a TeleEye Team member said: "Oxfam Trailwalker is a really tough competition. Nevertheless, the support from our TeleEye Group colleagues gives us motivation to finish the journey successfully."  Joseph Mah, another team member added: "We are proud of the TeleEye team, as it represents the spirit of the TeleEye Group, go for the best!  We are all very happy with the result, as it is almost 3 hours faster than our record last year.  Look forward to participating this meaningful event next year."

Hong Kong Oxfam Trailwalker is the first Trailwalker event in the world, and this model is followed by many other countries like UK, Australia and New Zealand.  Trailwalker was formerly an endurance military exercise for Gurkha soldiers, and it was opened to the public and became a fundraising event in 1986.  Donations will support Oxfam Hong Kong's poverty projects across Asia and Africa.
