12 companies have agreed to sponsor SIA 2009 Government Summit
The Security Industry Association (SIA) is proud to announce that 12 companies have signed up to sponsor its 2009 Government Summit.

The Government Summit is the nation's premier public policy conference for the security industry. This year's event on June 2-3 in Washington, D.C., will feature congressmen, federal officials and other special guests discussing stimulus spending, identity management, government grants and other topics.

Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., Richard Skinner, inspector general for the Department of Homeland Security, and Jacob Goodwin, editor-in-chief of Government Security News, are scheduled to keynote the summit, with conservative commentator Fred Barnes and Democratic strategist Donna Brazile making special appearances.

The Government Summit is to be held at the Embassy Suites Washington, D.C., Convention Center Hotel. A reception is scheduled for Monday, June 1, at 7 p.m., and the event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. the following morning. The summit is open to both SIA members and non-members. Discounted early-bird registration is available until April 30. The event is free for end-users of security products and members of the media. Register for the summit on the SIA Web site.
