Sanyo launches professional security network camera series with H.264/MJPEG dual codecs
SANYO North America Corporation (SANYO) recently announced its 2009 line-up of nine new HD surveillance cameras that offer up to 4MP MJPEG and Full High Definition (HD) video for critical security monitoring. The world's first complete line-up of Full HD 1080p and full frame rate compatible network cameras with multi-streaming H.264 and MJPEG codecs includes four different form factors: Box, Dome, Zoom , and PTZ .

The nine new cameras expand the SANYO industry-leading family of security video products that are driving high-definition into CCTV. The growing demand for high quality HD video in the security industry has created the need for HD cameras in various configurations. By combining HD video with security features, SANYO can help security professionals seize this opportunity by offering proven HD video in a variety of form factors for different applications. The new cameras join the award-winning SANYO VCC-HD4000 resulting in the industry's first complete HD lineup.

"SANYO is jumping into the HD surveillance hard; a full court press of the world's only complete line of full HD 1080p H.264 cameras and we're pricing these to go directly after the standard definition market," says Isaac Levy, President of SANYO North America's Consumer Solutions Division. "Once you see the breadth and value of SANYO's new HD line, there will be no reason to choose anyone else's camera!" added Mr. Levy.
