American Fibertek displayed enhanced and expanded product suite at ISC West 2009

American Fibertek, Inc. (AFI), the security industry's leading independent supplier of transmission solutions for security applications, made a strong showing at ISC West 2009 with enhancements to their V'nes Video Network Enterprise Solution and new fiber optic transmission solutions. Additionally, the company launched its new website that combines expanded functionality and ease of navigation to create a productive visitor experience.

New to the V'nes Video Network Enterprise Solution core lineup are enhancements to the Pilot Series Video and Network Management Software including: full integration with H.264 video; a web interface; improved viewing features including storing views on the fly; search and view while watching and multiple playbacks; an alarm interface from any external source; and a video capture driver for USB devices such as webcams.

The expanded lineup of V'nes Packaged Systems also now includes four and nine camera packages for small system applications in addition to previously introduced 16 and 24 camera packages. Additionally, all V'nes Packaged Systems now automatically recognize Axis cameras and load all camera locations.

AFI also unveiled a host of new Fiber Optic Transceiver Solutions designed to complement the company's comprehensive line of fiber optic transmission solutions designed specifically for video surveillance and security applications. Highlights include new video transceivers with features like 10-bit digital video transmission, integrated digital fiber optic and UTP transceivers, enhanced Ethernet transceivers, bi-directional communications, multi-channel capacity for video with data, Ethernet and audio with remote monitoring capabilities, as well as unique new contact closure systems that do not require any soldering.
