Leading remotely monitored CCTV provider RemGuard Visual Management - part of AD Group - has announced that it is now offering the powerful NetVu ObserVer GUI (Graphic User Interface) as standard with its RemVu Aquila transmission equipment.

Said Alan Collinge, Director at RemGuard's RVRC: "The decision to supply NetVu ObserVer brings us in to line with other AD Group companies such as Dedicated Micros.  ObserVer will give our customers all of the key features of NetVu Client, which it replaces, but with the added flexibility that distributed images can be viewed from any NetVu Connected product linked to a site's IT network - not just the RemVu Aquila.  We will of course continue to support our existing customers using NetVu Client and, if necessary, help them to upgrade to NetVu ObserVer."

In operation, RemGuard believes that NetVu ObserVer will further enhance the ability of its customers to access images from their sites during working hours or - for authorised individuals - at home around the clock, helping managers to keep in touch with what is happening, even in their absence.  There is also the potential for operators at the RVRC to check with a keyholder that anyone who appears on site out of hours has a legitimate reason for being there.

Key features of the NetVu ObserVer GUI include: an intuitive drag and drop interface; the ability for live or recorded images to be viewed and controlled either in full screen, picture in picture or up to 36 multi-way screens; an event list; built-in MPEG-4 capability which supports the simultaneous viewing of both JPEG and MPEG-4 video streams plus user-friendly controls for camera selection and PTZ operation.
