Dome cameras, colour monitors and quad processors from Rainbow CCTV have recently been installed at a leading medical facility, the Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Florida.

Health Central offers 171 beds, a 24-hour emergency room, special delivery maternity unit, paediatric unit and helipad.  Current expansion is adding an advanced cardiac care unit with 30 beds.

The CCTV installation includes the QPCF quad processor.  These connect up to four cameras and one VCR, offering quad and switching video output.  Users benefit from real-time, high-resolution images, independent full screen and auto sequential switching, video loss detection, and video adjustment for all channels.

Health Central's 85-acre medical complex offers full service acute care, a women's health center, new maternity suites and a dedicated outpatient diagnostic centre.  There is an on-site pharmacy and retail services are extensive.  The medical office building is home to over 60 physicians.

Health Central staff are active in the local community with nutritionists advising school children and parents on healthy eating regimes.  The hospital is respected for its work in the fields of radiology and the hearing of the newly-born.

The distributor for this project is Rainbow's partner, Buffalo-based Emedco.  Emedco also supplied Rainbow's 1/3" MDC70 colour mini-dome DSP cameras.  These feature a 3.6mm lens offering 70° field of view.  Horizontal resolution is 380 TV lines with a minimum illumination of 0.2 lux. The cameras measure ø3.4 x 2.2 inches and weigh 4.4 oz.

Additionally, the hospital is benefiting from Rainbow's RMC14 14-inch colour monitors. These are models offer looping video inputs and have a power input range of 100~240VAC 50/60Hz.  They are constructed from a steel cabinet with plastic front bezel. Front controls include contrast, brightness, and tint.
