PCSC announces completion of the soon to be released LiNC-NXG, the access control management software for next generation security systems. An intense development cycle spanning the past three years has produced a revolutionary software platform upon which future growth and development will be exponential.

LiNC-NXG is a fully integrated - scalable access control and security management solution - designed for facilities of all types and sizes. From one door to thousands of doors, the system’s capabilities (in conjunction with PCSC controllers) provide world-class security management utilising a myriad of unique features. With an intuitive user interface, LiNC-NXG provides Security Directors with unparalleled system control and in-depth history reporting. This intuitive new software is built on an open-architecture platform, and provided with an SDK for completely customisable solutions. The software development kit allows for the ability to design and integrate additional access control related needs. For instance, if an installer needs to integrate his client’s Time and Attendance system with his Access Control or if he needs to have his legacy systems integrated into an up-to-date enterprise solution or use License Plate Recognition software as the input to his Access Control system then the capabilities of LiNCNXG’s SDK are critical.

LiNC-NXG is also designed to be forward and backward compatible. “Our latest FT architecture is different from our legacy controller architecture, but our new host system, LiNC-NXG (LiNC NET Next Generation), will accommodate both architectures at the same time,” said Mas Kosaka, PCSC’s President and CEO. “Our corporate design philosophy has been to provide an upgrade path for legacy products. All of our designs incorporate inherent upgrade capabilities, enabling customers to upgrade, even systems installed in 1983. We have some customers that still insist on using their very old system. This enables our existing end users to retain their current PCSC controller platforms, and for future expansion, provide a simple add-on process to incorporate Fault Tolerant architecture.”

Target applications of LiNC-NXG extend from simple small business needs to the demands of ultra-high security, FIPS compliant, and government class specifications. Maintaining an edge on technology, over the past 25 years PCSC has introduced many firsts in the industry such as integrated video badging, Wiegand reader distances up to 2000 feet, fully intelligent elevator controls, direct Ethernet LAN based panels, wireless and self-healing mesh networks, and recently the industry’s first truly Fault Tolerant access control architecture and related systems.
