Paxton Access Limited, a market leader in the design and manufacture of intelligent access control systems, is continuing to enjoy strong expansion, attributable in part to their education to customer support.  The appointment of John Harkins as field sales engineer for Scotland highlights their ongoing commitment to installation companies.

Originally John planned for a career in pharmaceutical sales but says his initial intentions were undone when he ‘fell' into the world of access control.  During his year at PAC international, John became a member of the ISMM (the UK's professional sales body) and acquired a deep understanding of access control through his ‘hands' on approach.  By giving full technical support to installers, he knew his knowledge base would grow significantly.

With so much customer contact, John gained an insight into other companies that manufactured access control products. John says, "Throughout the course of my day, one company was mentioned time and time again as the bench mark in value, product reliability, support and customer service - Paxton Access.  When the Scottish Field Sales Engineer role came up, I knew Paxton Access was where I wanted to be."

John believes that the investment in a Scottish field sales engineer can only be good news for Scottish installation companies.  Based near Glasgow John is ideally placed to provide product training, advice when tendering quotes and be the local source of information on Paxton Access products.  John says, "Installers already receive thorough backing from Paxton Access' support team, I just want to add a further dimension to this in Scotland!"
