NetWay1E is a midspan injector that powers a whole new range of power-hungry IP devices

For video surveillance system components that may require PoE of up to 85W, Altronix is showcasing the NetWay1E PoE Midspan here at the 2012 Electronic Security Expo (ESX). NetWay1E is a midspan injector that expands customers’ capabilities to power a whole new range of power-hungry IP devices and is PoE, PoE+ and LTPoE++ compliant. LTPoE++, typically referred to as PoE++, is a proprietary standard that serves devices with higher power requirements, including 70W, 52.7W and 38.7W, while maintaining all the advantages and efficiencies of PoE.

“NetWay1E helps future-proof the customer’s investment in network infrastructure as more IP cameras, accessories and edge devices become available that require higher power,” said Alan Forman, President, Altronix. “NetWay1E will further facilitate the industry’s migration path to networked systems by capitalising on the cost-savings inherent with PoE technology.”

The single-port PoE, PoE+ and LTPoE++ compliant NetWay1E provides auto detection and protection of legacy non-PoE cameras and devices. NetWay1E transmits over distances up to 100m (328 feet) without repeaters. Features also include port status LEDs, spring terminals for manual PoE shutdown and a detachable 3-wire grounded line cord. The NetWay1E operates on 115VAC (60Hz) and the NetWay1EV operates on 230VAC (50/60Hz).
