Following a period of sustained growth and international expansion, national security firm, Octavian Security, has appointed two new directors to its board.

Anthony Henry is appointed to the role of business development director and colleague Jot Engelbrecht, one of the company's very first security officers, has been appointed operations and training director.

Originally from South Africa, Jot was initially employed by Octavian in 2003 to work as a security officer on the company's first contract in Wakefield.  His obvious managerial capabilities were recognised at an early stage by managing director, Sukhi Ghuman, which led to Jot's fast-track development through the company to the stage where he now develops strategy for the company's operations and training activities.

With 12 years experience as a senior manager in the UK security industry, Anthony Henry joined Octavian as the firm's new business development manager in 2005.  He has already made a big impact on Octavian's ambition to re-write the rules of customer service and professionalism within the industry and has worked extremely hard to maximise new business opportunities.  In his new role, Anthony hopes to continue building on these excellent foundations from his base at the firm's London City Airport office, and help the firm to continue securing high-profile international contracts.

Managing director of Octavian Security, Sukhi Ghuman, who was named by the Chamber of Commerce as Nottinghamshire Entrepreneur of the Year last year, commented:

"Both Jot and Anthony exude the confidence and capability which has been the bedrock of Octavian's management ethos.

I am extremely proud to be able to welcome them to the board and I am sure that their appointments will lead to an even more accelerated level of growth and expansion for the business."

This news comes at a time of huge growth for the company with several large contract wins recently announced.  Octavian Security also launched a division in Dubai (Octavian Security LLC) earlier this year - its first outside Europe.
