Ken Livingstone's new role will include focusing on the provision of security for the broadcasting industry
Award-winning Octavian Security has announced the appointment of Ken Livingstone to the role of operations manager.

In his new role, Ken will oversee the day-to-day operations of sections of the business, reporting directly to operations director, Jot Engelbrecht.

He will also focus on the provision of security for the broadcasting industry, with clients including the BBC, BSkyB and Granada relying on him to provide the top quality service people expect from Octavian.

Founder and CEO of Octavian, Sukhi Ghuman, comments: "Octavian Security is changing the face of the industry with its professional and strategic approach to delivering security solutions.

"To continue our phenomenal growth, we need to first class professionals like Ken. I am delighted to announce his appointment and I firmly believe he will keep us moving in the right direction."

The new appointment is just the latest in a long line of senior additions for the Nottingham based firm as it continues to recruit to strengthen its already well respected team of over 650 security professionals.

Mr Livingstone knows what is needed at all levels of the business. He has developed a ‘hands-on' approach to security services that he believes will serve him well in his new role.

Ken commented: "I believe that working knowledge is the key to success. I worked with policing authorities for 20 years, through roles in the transport and IT sectors, before moving into the security industry."
