Integration with VCA solution gives freedom of choice to create a feature-rich surveillance system
Mirasys Ltd, a leading provider of open platform digital CCTV and video surveillance solutions, announced its support for industry standards developed by both the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) and the Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA) by having its Mirasys open VCA platform comply with both standards.

The introduction of new standards encourages connections between network cameras and video management software. This is a significant development for both manufacturers and customers alike. By ensuring that any CCTV camera is directly compatible with any video recorder, buyers will now be able to focus on selecting the best software solution for the management of recorded information.

"By integrating ONVIF and PSIA standards into our network cameras and VCA interfaces, Mirasys has shown continued commitment to driving innovation in the surveillance industry. For years, Mirasys has actively participated in the standardisation of camera surveillance systems in the framework of CENELEC, the electro-technical standards organisation of the EU. We have always designed our systems according to the European industry standards," said Pertti Woitsch, VP Marketing at Mirasys. "The new industry standards created by ONVIF and PSIA extend these standards to the level of practical implementation of cameras and other devices."

Today, Mirasys solutions support more than 500 IP network camera models from all leading camera manufacturers and have the functionality to support fast and easy integration to new camera drivers as and when they become available.
