Servest Security, part of the Servest Group, has been given a prestigious silver award from the safety charity the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The 2014 RoSPA occupational health and safety award was presented to Servest at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on 15th May 2014.
Servest engages with it workforce to promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation. Key stakeholders in Servest are tasked with empowering its workforce and leading by example to promote this positive health and safety culture and with challenging the directors, senior managers, line managers, functional and technical managers and employee representatives’ alike lead by example and aim to set the expected standards on health and safety matters.
Since 2011, Servest has developed and implemented innovative communication systems for effectively communicating relevant health and safety information to the necessary people in the organisation. This approach has ensured that staff are aware of all the health and safety procedures relevant to them, which has reduced the risk of accidents.
Andy Campbell, SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality) Manager at Servest Security, said: “We are delighted that Servest Security has won a prestigious RoSPA award for our approach to occupational health and safety.
“The safety of our employees and customers is our highest priority. The RoSPA Award is testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone at Servest to achieving robust health and safety processes and procedures, despite the diversity of activities that we perform.”
The RoSPA Awards, which date back 58 years, recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
