Hunt Electronic is launching its latest offering, the GD series 2 megapixel (1080P) PoE IP camera, completing the company's line for outdoor applications.

The GD series include the following models - HLC-79GD, HLC-81GD and HLC-1NGD.

Hunt GD family features 2 megapixel (1080P Full HD) resolution with excellent Sony solution. Also, it supports True WDR, for dealing better with high-contrast environments in comparison with Digital WDR.

The GD series built-in intelligent functions include - face detection, digital image stabilisation and tamper detection.

Hunt's HLC-79GD is a bullet type IP camera with built-in IR LEDs for outdoor applications around-the-clock. This IR network camera is coupled with Sony Exmor CMOS sensor and a varifocal lens to support a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 60fps. It is designed for H.264 (High/Main/Baseline profile) and MJPEG video codec.

The camera provides a built-in IR-cut filter, 3D+2D digital noise reduction, and support for WDR enhancement features, making this camera capable of reproducing crystal clear videos 24/7, no matter how extremely bright and/or dark the environment is.

In night mode, the IR illuminator will automatically activate 35 IR LEDs for a radiation distance up to 30 metres. Furthermore, the HLC-79GD allows 2-way audio communication and provides 1 video output; also, a free-bundle 36-ch recording software is included in every individual package.

The HLC-79GD IP camera supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) to eliminate power cabling for installation where it might be difficult to find a power outlet. This camera can be also designed for supporting wireless 802.11b/g/n.

For applications that require a local storage at the camera, Hunt can offer an optional model, HLC-79GD which supports Micro SD card backup.

If an installation requires higher privacy levels, then this camera offers 3 different areas of privacy masking, not being necessary to include any additional external attached devices.

With a metal housing and a conceal-cable-drain mount, the HLC-79GD 5-megapixel IR network camera meets IP66 standards and would be ideal for almost any applications and installations, especially for outdoor projects.

In addition to HLC-79GD, the HLC-81GD (box) and HLC-1NGD (dome) are the two indoor models of the series.

Some characteristics are different from the outdoor model, such as IR LEDs, weather-proof, etc., but still offer the best image due to the Sony solution.
