Qihan is releasing the HDFDI surveillance solution aimed at breaking the current bottleneck of short-range HD-SDI coaxial transmission, providing customers with long-distance and high-definition surveillance solutions with all the latest fibre-optic mater.

With the rapid development of computer and data communication technology, the limitations and defects of analogue surveillance and digital IP surveillance have been inevitably exposed, and HD-SDI high definition video technology introduced in recent years encounters great difficulties with its future development as it cannot meet modern video surveillance requirements because of the limitations of transmission distance and increasing costs of metal. Optical fibre transmission has outstanding features in special environments and long-distance transmission, so using optical fibre to real-time transmit the audio and video data is set to become the future mainstream and the inevitable trend in the field of communication development.

After years of cutting-edge research, Qihan has successfully developed the HDFDI surveillance solution--to solve the problem of limited transmission distances with HD-SDI monitoring systems. According to the company, the HDFDI solution is efficient, stable and easy to maintain; it brings great convenience to networking and future system expansion.

The HDFDI surveillance solution consists of front-end video devices, signal receiving/conversion equipment, centralised storage/DVR device, and controller/display device. The complete solution supports multi-functional reproduction of high-definition (HD) video quality. Operating at a low power consumption, the solution performs fast and has the ability to counter strong interference, it supports a long transmission distance (of up to 20 kilometers), less transmission loss and high fidelity.

"Thanks to actual live demonstrations of good performance and real-time ability, stability and reliability, we believe that the HDFDI camera solution has attracted the eyes of the professionals and that it will become the development trend for video surveillance systems of the future." Qihan's sales manager emphasised.
