Regent Security training and contracts Manager Allen Foster collected the award on behalf of the company

Regent Samsic’s Security Division is basking in a golden glow after the Coventry-based national contractor had its approach to occupational safety and health recognised with the presentation of a Gold Award at the recent RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards.

Regent Security Training and Contracts Manager Allen Foster, collected the award on behalf of the company at a ceremony held by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre.

RoSPA awards manager, David Rawlins emphasised how ‘organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition’.

He added: “Regent has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.”

The Gold Award is the ultimate accolade available from RoSPA, which not solely measures accident records but evaluates health and safety management systems, leadership and workforce involvement.

Regent Security Director of Operations, Gary Sheffield said: “This Award pays testimony to the focus made by all at Regent on looking after one another, and our customers.”

It was a notably good day in Birmingham for Regent Samsic: its Cleaning Division also picked up a Gold Award from RoSPA for occupational health and safety.
